New story on Instagram

My daughter has put up another story I narrated on her Instagram account. Click here.

I made one little mistake while I was narrating (remember, it was said impromptu, with no text to refer to). Let me see if you can notice it!

Hello Sir, enjoyed the story telling very much. Wish I had a teacher to read out or narrate stories with this sort of engagement in my formative years.

The story shows how a perfectly enjoyable story can be crafted without taking technical details (for example, is the royal jelly produced by bees compatible to this extent with human biology?) too seriously. A lot of contemporary fiction, which borrows from science, aspires to be ultra-realistic (thereby diminishing the 'fictional' value) I think.

What's the mistake though? 'She is our daughter too,' in place of 'my daughter'?

Sincerely
Manoshij

So that's two mistakes actually, Manoshij, yes :) The other was that I repeatedly mixed up Ludlow and Wadlow. But anyway, not very many people seem to have noticed it.

As for something being compatible or otherwise with human biology, I don't think that is stretching a point too far. Imagine the incredible variety of animal products we ingest as either food or medicine!

Thanks for listening.

Sir

Dear Sir,

I hope you are doing well.

I heard your story and it reminded of those days when you would narrate us the "AS YOU LIKE IT". Hearing you and seeing you after so many days was an absolute delight.

Hope to see more such story telling sessions from you.

Thank you, Sriparna and Soumya. Why is blogger showing both of you as 'unknown'?
